Best Restaurant of the Year Award 2021
We enter 2022 counting our blessings for the previous year we have had. A special shoutout to our team for winning the Best Restaurant of the year 2021, at the AFRA awards! Since opening, despite an array of challenges, and launching during the height of the pandemic and with several restrictions, we are extremely grateful to be in this position. We would like to thank the members of our team, vendors and partners for their endless efforts and hard work building the Royal Mahal brand.
Background to the Afra Awards
With the food and drink industry being one of the most robust and fastest-growing sectors in the UK. Achieving recognition in this area is something that we are extremely proud of. The Afra Awards are held each year at exquisite venues in central London to mark the occasion. We celebrated with the team at the Montcalm Hotel in Marble Arch with a Black Tie event.
The AFRA (Asian Food and Restaurant Awards) recognise the achievements and positive contributions which are being made by South Asians across the UK and within the International food industry.
The Awards aim to celebrate these special stories as well as honour the dedication and commitment of those who have spread their love for Asian flavours through their passion to take the cultural mainstream. The process is highly competitive and there were many shortlisted. We saw talent across London and from all areas of the UK.
The results were calculated from individuals who submit their best restaurant experiences over the past 12 months across the U.K., taking into consideration the quality of the food, service, atmosphere and price.
The Royal Mahal experience
Our vision was always to combine a fine blend of authentic, and traditional Indian and Pakistani cuisine, with excellence in service. The team of talented chefs have come from the middle east with up to 25 years of experience in cooking and serving within the hospitality world. The team delivers passion and individuality with every dish that is cooked. Each dish compiles a fusion of flavours to take each customer through a journey of spices and exquisite taste. Transport over to India with us, we make sure each bite is a delight.
Royal Mahal is not just a restaurant, we have expanded our services right through to our banqueting suites where we deliver excellence in events and experiences. The team look to keep accelerating and evolving further with our highly sought after services. A feast for all senses is what we guarantee!
We are extremely proud and grateful for the position we are in and are excited to see where the next year takes the Royal Mahal brand, we aren’t just stopping here. Closing 2021 as a multiple award-winning restaurant and banqueting venue is beyond further than we could have hoped for. Watch this space. We can’t wait to see where we are at the end of 2022!
